Palm Beach County Snubs?

Locally I really don't see any snubs on the week 10 projected playoff picture. The teams that's on the outside looking in has created that by bad or not so good play and scheduling.

Starting at the Top 8a- Palm Beach Central, Atlantic, Park Vista and Seminole Ridge are all in and they all deserve to be at this point. Boca Raton on the outside looking in but they have a chance this Friday to put themselves in with a win over Atlantic so they control their destiny.

7a- Both Dwyer and Forest Hill are in at this point which again I think both deserve to be in. Will either make some noise in 7a? No they won't but based off the region they both deserve to be in. But we all know STA will be out out that region.

6a- Boynton Beach is the only possible and by no means they deserve to be in a playoff picture I don't think they won a game

5a- Suncoast only has I believe one loss on the season possible 2 but again yes they deserve to be in and at this point they are. Now again they won;t make any noise in the playoffs but deserve to be there and again we all know AHP will be coming out of that region so it don't matter to much of who make it into that region.

4a- Glades Central is the first potential argument here, at this point GC just outside the playoff entry but if they win out they should be in with wins over Newman and Pahokee which both are either Cat 1 or 2 wins so they control their fate. This a team that came on late and starting to pick it up but they started slow with a 35-0 loss to Oxbridge that would have helped them their with a win but that win would have been tough for most teams, and this where I agree with most that teams should be rewarded more points for playing a tougher schedule than beating 0-10 teams. 

3a- Both Kings Academy and Oxbridge deserve to be in with American Heritage and Newman on the outside. Based of schedule Newman is a Cat 1 or 2 team but eye contact will show you that a loss to suncoast in a rout like by at lease 20 or 30 points will tell you they do not deserve to be in a tough 3a region which we assume Oxbridge will becoming out of facing CM in state. American Heritage had a great opportunity last week versus Glades Central to clinch a spot or at least close the gap but they loss head to head and this a team that has tons of talent similar to Palm Beach Gardens who most thought will make a run for a state championship.

To be honest I think Booker T got the wrong end of the stick but name another team that you think was snub that WILL MAKE NOISE IN THE PLAYOFF? Booker T yes they would have but name another

I think most people who are bashing the system not taking a look at how those teams got to this point...

My question is, if Glades Central is ranked 5 in class 4a AP poll how could they not be a playoff team. This system is flawed!!!!!

Rankings are media opinions. Do I think GC is better than some of the teams ahead of them? Yes. But, any system that is put in place will piss off someone. There never will be a perfect format.

The argument for Glades Central is hot air at this point, they are ranked 5 in the state in 5a and they haven't beaten 1 playoff team this year, they had a few opportunities vs Oxbridge and University and loss both, all their wins are from non playoffs opponents and they ranked 5 in 5a? 5a must be down this year

Clewiston (2-3)

Lake Worth (0-7)

Boynton Beach (2-4)

American Heritage (4-3)

And they are state ranked?

So are you saying that Miami Pace, Gulliver Prep played tougher teams?. It's easy now that everyone see how to beat the new system. Schedule1a,2a and 3a teams that has a easy schedule except for your team. Pahokee gets no extra points for playing tougher 7a and 8a teams who face stiffer competition. It makes little sense to play them. Just because Lakes lose close to tougher teams gets you less points than playing a 1a team that has beat up on cupcakes...... Stupid system

Not saying at all that Pace and Gulliver schedule are tougher but what I'm saying is you control your performance, losing to Oxbridge and University and scheduling all poor teams for wins didn't work for GC. But they still have a chance to right their wrong this week and next verusus two Cat 1/2 teams

Remember most teams will have the same schedule next year as this year. Just sites are changed.

For the most part yes... plus why would you want sorrier opponents? What is the purpose? It seems like you want to see Dillard win a title without working for it. Sorry, not going to happen. I see what you are wanting though... you want Dillard to avoid the 6A-16 teams in the first round. Not going to happen. That district is too good. This is just one of many reasons why we have the new system. They will take 4 teams as long as all of them remain relevant to the conversation.

But it’s not that I don’t want them to work for it but to have to be NATIONALLY good just to get out the first round tho ??? Not good Not above Avg But Nationally Good?!?! That’s a lot to ask for because that’s what Carol city MNW & central is nationally power houses

Imagine how those teams would feel under the old system? That they have to be nationally good to just make the playoffs (forget about advancing in the playoffs).

It's based on contracts some schools  have a two year contract to play each other I think

I honestly like this new system which many not seeing it that way at this point, everyone is finding a problem with the system but I feel the new point system gives you full control over your destiny sort of speak. The last system we had will only have two coming out a specific district which was crazy if you were in a top heavy district. I look at the Carol City, Northwestern, and Miami Central district with the old system only two had the possibility of getting in but with the new system all three can possibly get in.
