Columbus is like 0-3 in the finals right or am I'm wrong

Columbus, Edgewater, Hardee, Lake Gibson and Warner Christian are all 0-3 in state finals.

The teams in the list above are all teams who have appeared in at least 5 state finals.  Just pick from amongst the teams in the list, if you would like.

Columbia does have a state title just not in the fhsaa era

Fhsaa been around since 1920 so our only "offical" championship was 47 years afterwards

We should have 5 state titles during our undefeated seasons but we only were given the one we got during playoffs

But if Manatee can claim a championship from the 1920s I'm gonna find out if Columbia can claim our rightful championships

Why stop there Columbia?  I heard some folks in Lake City beat a band of Seminole Indians in a state title game back in the 1800's.  Heck, legend has it that the Columbia Tigers beat the Spanish explorers in a title game in the 1500's  You may want to research all this and make sure you get all of the credit due.  Lord knows ya'll haven't won anything lately.

1895_Auburn_-_Georgia_football_game_at_P

My great great grandpappy, Peepaw, was at this legendary, but very controversial title game, played in Lake City's Wynn Less Memorial Stadium:blink: back in 1899.   It is believed that this was an early case of home cookin'.  Lake City referee Homer "Happy Flags" Johnson, in the foreground, penalized the opposing team for a facemask penalty:rolleyes: on the last play of the game, giving the home team one more chance.  The Tigers then scored the winning TD on their famous double redneck reverse play.  But their title was later stripped when it was determined they were using an ineligible player, who lived in Live Oak, but commuted via horseback every day to Lake City.

Interestingly, Peepaw used to speak of a Lake City guy on the forums back then:) who used to debate everyone that his team had won many championships in the past, even though everyone on the forum knew otherwise.  Peepaw said one day the guy just disappeared off the forum.  He believes the fella "went nuts waiting for the Tigers to finally win a state championship."  Peepaw always wondered if anyone in the family would take up the tradition of defending Lake City's honor in the future.  Guess not:P

...and the correct answer is....Atlantic/Delray.

They are the only team in history to play in 5 state title games under the FHSAA without ever winning a title.  The first 4 games were all low-scoring affairs back in the 1970's decided by 7 points or less.  In fact, the combined score of those games was 40-21.  This past season Atlantic lost to Dr Phillips in the 8A title game.

All of the other teams on the list have had bad luck in state title games as well, but have won at least one state title

5 state title games. That's probably more than 98% of all the teams in Florida ever had. We can kid about Columbia but, down through the years, they may have done more than most teams. ^_^
