it’s HOMECOMING Weekend & everyone knows when it’s Dillard homecoming weekend the entire city shuts down. Dillard is known to have the largest HBCU tailgate and homecoming weekend for a high school in the entire state of Florida.

As For The Game Ft Lauderdale started off the season hot going 4-0 shutting out teams left and right Only To Lose their last 3.

Dillard Comes in As Jekal & Hyde Kind of The Panthers Havent Won Back To Back Games All Season As They Look To Finish The Year in Stride The nExt Few Weeks & Roll into The Playoffs Hot Even As A District Runner Up.

#Changes: Last Week Dillard Decided To Make The Change At Qb & Bench The Senior Qb in Favor Of The Sophomore Who Appears To Have More Poise & Control Of the offense.

On defense We’ve been banged up like crazy the last few weeks with several starting DL out, our starting 5 *Corner back in Antoine jackson who may be out for the year with a severe ankle sprain. We have a lot of depth but nothing like having your full arsenal out there especially against national competition.

Prediction: Even Tho Dillard is Not Quite Ready Yet Nationally I Do believe with out a doubt they’re State Elite & i Believe They Show it again here. DILLARD 49 FT LAUDERDALE 12

So I got the full story. One of Dillard players was holding the chains as halftime was ending words were by Ft. Lauderdale players to the Dillard player that was holding the chains which then one of Ft. Lauderdale players hit the Dillard player which led to other Ft. Lauderdale players start to jump the Dillard player qb I caused a brawl as Dillard coaches tried to restrain Dillard players while Ft. Lauderdale and their coaching staff even got into it with another. As Dillard band did their halftime show the refs felt it would be in Ft. Lauderdale’s best interest to forfeit the game out of possible retaliation from Dillard players. The game was called at the half Dillard players was asked to clear the field first, then Ft. Lauderdale. Game ended 35-0 Dillard with the win. @VeniceIndiansFootball @DarterBlue2 @Jullian @ColumbiaHighFan2017class

Definitely a sad turn of events but big props to the Dillard staff to keep things from getting too out of hand. Hope the Dillard kid is ok. Refs definitely did the right thing.

Yeah for the safety of everybody. It was just I waited all week for a half of game lol

35-0 at half doesn't sound like much of a game for participants or fans.  The real losers are the backup kids that may have picked up some needed experience in the second half if that is what the coaching staff protocol tends to be.  Our 2 wins against district opponents have looked like this as will the third, but I don't get any enjoyment watching this type of destruction of an opponent.   Just my take, so yes I fully agree with the stoppage at half.

I get you but it wasn’t just about the game itself. It was our homecoming ‘ here at Dillard we take that VERY serious. We are known to have the biggest African American tailgate & homecoming experience for a high school in all of Florida.

a lot of people flew in , drive in, some alumni came for the first time in years so it was a celebration/ come together moment as well which was cut short.
