Dillard coming off a 24-6 lost to #4 in the nation STA Thomas will be back on the road to play a inner city rival in plantation.

these teams met last year at Dillard and Dillard eeked out a 42-41 thriller. The colonels coming winners of 4 straight. Their only lost was week 1 to Miramar.

Dillard comes in at (3-3) with loses to #3 in the nation MIAMI central, #4 in the nation Chaminade Madonna & #6 in the nation st Thomas Aquinas. The Panthers Have The Second Strongest SOS in the entire state at 62.1 behind only Chaminade Whose At 62.3.

Common Opponents:

Plantation Vs Miramar (Plantation Lost 26-21)

Dillard Vs Miramar ( Dillard Won 35-7)

Obviously Not The Outcome Panther Nation Wanted in 6 Games , But We Have To Finish These Last 4 Games Strong. Let’s Go Panthers.

Dillard should roll. 35-7 seems about right. If they lose this they are banned from the rankings unless they win state. Lol.

Plantation has been decent the last few years. It will be interesting for sure

If we lose this game I’m banning them from the rankings all together lol myself.

i would say this tho with the right adjustments which a huge one was made this week. I see Dillard being a team no one wants to see once the playoffs start. The level of competition they’ve subjected themselves to this regular season will be nothing close to what they will see inside the playoffs outside of STA.

the way the first half of Dillard schedule looked you would have thought they were iMG or Mater dei with that kind of schedule sheeshhhh lol.

Observations from last night: THATS HOW YOU IMPOSE YOUR WILL ON A TEAM!!!! , even I didn’t expect that type of beating over a solid plantation team whose always playoff bound under Steve Davis.

coming into last night the colonels had won 4 in a row , while Dillard had lost its last 2. For the past few weeks there had been controversy within the locker room and within the community about dillards starting senior Qb being benched over his continuous mistakes. But the HC wouldn’t budge, but after last weeks lost and a rabid pissed off fan base he had no choice & boy did it pay off the backup maybe a sophomore but the Kidd has that “iT FACTOR” how far it takes Dillard we will see.

DEFENSE: This is Dillards Most Lopsided Win Over Plantation in Program History & it started in the trenches. Under coach Davis time after time that complex Wing T offense Has gave Dillard Fits Over The Years & More Times Then Not Led Plantation To A Dominating Win Over Dillard But Last Night Dillard Said NO MORE! & they just absolutely ate plantation alive.

OFFENSE: This was the Cleanest & Most proficient I’ve seen us look all year  over a plantation team who will atleast be in the regional finals this year depending on how their playoff seedlings matchup. But you can tell they was overwhelmed by Dillard & that the two programs had clearly played to diff levels of competition up until this point.

PENALTIES: THANK YOU THANK YOU! For calming down and becoming for more disciplined penalties are waaaay Down from earlier this year & even in the past. Not perfect but much better.

OVERALL: we’re now (4-3) Not the Most ideal situation we wanted to be in, but this is also Dillards toughest schedule in School history. Just got to take it one game at a time & see where we are at in the end.

NEXT UP: homecoming next Saturday night vs A Ft Lauderdale team who started out (4-0) but I believe they’re 4-3 or 4-2 now, either way let’s get to win #5, GOOOOO PANTHERS!! @VeniceIndiansFootball @nolebull813 @FBGUY1989  @DarterBlue2 @ColumbiaHighFan2017class @Jullian

Plantation's Wing T Triple Option Offense would give any team trouble. It's good to see that at least once in the regular season to be prepared for it in the event that you see it in the postseason. Fort Lauderdale High runs it as well and Dillard stopped it without much trouble last year. Dillard has improved in the last 4 games. How far they go will be determined in how disciplined they are and if they can keep the penalties down. One game at a time. Congrats on a dominant win!

    • This is probably going to impact several different schools. Sumner will probably lose several key players to transfer. This means some schools are going to be getting unforeseen boosts as well. You'd assume that the schools in that immediate area might benefit. But, in this day and age, some players could end up far away. Tampa Robinson lost their head coach to USC, and their top recruit transferred...to Chaminade in Broward County.
    • As reported by Josh on this site, Sumner's head football coach, Alonzo Ashwood, was dismissed.  No reason for the dismissal was given, but it certainly wouldn't have been based on the team's on-the-field performance.   I've got a hunch the coach crossed one of those pesky rule lines, perhaps one too many times, and left the principal with little choice.   Again, just speculation on my part.   It'll be interesting to see what repercussions this has for the Stingrays.   Here's a link to Josh's article: http://floridahsfootball.com/2024/05/20/alonzo-ashwood-dismissed-at-sumner-after-four-seasons-per-report/
    • Vero’s offense struggled the entire game, the lone score came on a scoop and score via a fumble. White showed the characteristics of a presumed first year starter. His ability is there no doubt, he’ll just need to settle into the starting role.    West Boca was much more effective- leaning on their 4* running back Javian Mallory, can see them having another good year. They would have probably won the game had it gone a little longer.
    • If all the talk from the head coach about Dillard being bigger and better this year and how last year in his first year was a trial and error for him, it better be an easy dub. Lol
    • As For my Dillard panthers , this will be a huge test for us before things crank up for real in the next few months.    right now Dillard will be coming in this game with a lot of questions. Whose gonna be the Starting QB after a lot of controversy in last year playoff lost to ely where the fans and some of the players felt the sophomore back up should have replaced the junior starter after constantly turning the ball over.    the panthers also will be debuting a new OC & a new DC for the 2024 season. Last year while the defense was average to above average. Our offense appeared to be very basic & vanilla with No real offensive schemes to get the playmakers open.    we’ve gotten a few transfers in & promoted a few great players from JV to varsity. & with this being year 2 of Dillards new head coach & being placed in a new district I’m interested to see the adjustments & progressions in this season vs last season.    this has the make to be a very good game if the weather permits for all 4 quarters, but until proven otherwise I’m going to take the knights in this game in a final score of    DILLARD 21 MONARCH 28 what do you guys think of this matchup @nolebull813 @FBGUY1989 @cribboy305
