I’m a die hard patriots fan & I like what he brings to the table. Huge body frame nice arm I think that he should have just as much as a chance/shot to win the Qb 1 spot as Maye & brissete

I saw Milton in his final high school game at Vero in the playoffs. In terms of size, physicality and arm strength, Milton was the most impressive high school QB I've ever seen in over 55 years of playing and watching high school football. Watching the warmups, I thought he was going to put on a show. Instead, he was a train wreck. Bad reads, bad decisions, poor throws, no poise in the pocket, pointed fingers and jawed at his teammates, and then jawed at his coaches after his 3rd or 4th interception as he was coming off the field, which got him pulled from the game.

As for Pahokee, best of luck to them this season. I sat with their fans at Atlantic last year. They made a lot of noise and are fun to be around. They remind me of the fans from the schools in the area of Virginia where I grew up. Very passionate.

The reference to Brissett reminds us that you don't have to have a cannon arm to make it at the highest level.  Brissett has earned over $50 million in the NFL by being a steady, reliable game manager when called on.  Also brings back memories of his stellar 2009 and 2010 teams at Dwyer (along with Matt Elam, Nick O'Leary, etc.).  Seems like there was about a 15-year period where Dwyer was right up there with the elite.  I guess Dwyer has kind of collapsed since Coach Daniels left, and probably not much chance of getting back, but would defer to the locals if I am off base in my assessment.

Yeah I didn't think he would last too long in college. Some kids figure it out and some don't. Looks like he figured it out. Happy for him

Their top players usually transfer out, with Palm Beach Central or Cardinal Newman getting most of the top kids in West Palm. They had a good QB 2 years ago, but he transferred to Santaluces for his senior year and led the county in passing yards and TDS

Palm Beach. I think Glades Central is a year away, because y’all gotta rebuild the kids and the program

Can you elaborate if possible on what happened to Glades Central and Pahokee. They used to beat everyone in Palm Beach and the Muck Bowl was always the game of the year

Pahokee’s hospital and the state prison in Belle Glade both closed, so a lot of families moved to east to West Palm Beach (Wellington, Royal Palm, and Loxahatchee) for employment. So a lot of kids from the area are now playing for other schools. Nedric Boldin (Palm Beach Central, Boston College commit) is from Pahokee, Ricky Knight (Cardinal Newman, signed with FSU this spring) his family is from Pahokee, and Akeem Dent (Palm Beach Central, FSU, San Diego Chargers) is from Pahokee. That’s just a few from Pahokee, I know Glades Central has the same issue.

Another misconception, is that the schools on the coast provide better education, then the schools on the Muck (majority minority), but Pahokee High has had the highest graduation rates in PBC the last 5 years, with a 100% graduation rate this year. The choice program has allowed parents to send their kids to Seminole Ridge, Wellington, Royal Palm, and Palm Beach Central. 3 seasons ago Palm Beach Central had 6 starters on a 11 win team from Pahokee/Belle Glade

When is Pahokee, Glades Central and Clewiston all gonna merge into “Muck City High School”??? :P

That’ll NEVER happen because  Clewiston is in another county (Hendry). Something DRASTIC has to happen for Pahokee High and Glades Central to combine, because there’s to much tradition and history in both of those schools. The closest it came was Glades Central had to play their home games at Pahokee High be their schools/stadium was being built.

    • Atlantic  represented palm beach county well. I may not like them but I do respect them. Good  job Atlantic
    • That argument could be made for other counties our size and smaller, especially with a RB like Taevion Swint.   When healthy, I haven't seen too many teams that can slow him down.  In the spring game he tore a new one to both Edgewater and Deland.  As a freshman, he racked up a total of about 2000 all purpose yards.  As a sophomore around 1700 from scrimmage against top flight competition as our primary RB.  Last year he missed about half the season and when he returned he wasn't truly back.  Watch what he does from here.
    • Orlando Sentinel just posted some stats from our game and they confirmed that Taevion had 2 Carries for the evening totaling 134 yards and 2 TD's.   Great allowing some of the other kids to have some fun.
    • But if you consider where the population is centered, Jax is not central at all. And, Orlando has so many more family-oriented attractions, hotels etc.
    • Lots of unexpected results and you are right in saying that is the beauty of high school football.  Week in and week out you are depending on 15, 16, 17, 18 year old kids to perform; what you saw last week maybe 180 degrees from this week.  Teams that display the consistency over several weeks usually come out on top.   So humorous to me when someone claims they have a bunch of DOGS and forget that simple fact.  Unless you have spent years coaching at this level, that sometimes gets lost in the equation, they are still kids.  Really liked that Poinciana didn't embarrass itself against a solid Evans team tonight despite taking their first loss.  Evans hung tough with both Apopka and Jones for the two losses on their resume.  After tonight, I am pretty convinced Poinciana can get to an 8-win season.  It would be huge for their staff so certainly pulling for them.   We have a short week before facing off with Jones next Thursday night and I certainly feel good about our chances with Taevion healthy.
