They should since they’re a 4A team. Just hope Hawthorne doesn’t knock you out, before a rematch

Did Hawthorne knock Pahokee out once so if Hawthorne knock out that 4A team that would be 2times that they have knock out pakokee because I think they would play pahokee first then that “Quote 4A team

Didn’t opt out. Palm Beach County didn’t allow teams to compete in the state playoffs last year. All teams were guaranteed 4 games, teams were divided into divisions. The top 2 teams played the top 2 teams from Broward county’s divisions

Palm Beach county didn’t allow public schools to compete in the state playoffs last year. Only guaranteed 4 games

I think Pahokee and Hawthorne are 1-1 in their last two meetings but the last time they played, Hawthorne won the game although Pahokee had the better size and talent like the Hawthorne coaches said after the game. Hawthorne just out-coached them! That year, the team lost faith in the coaches after the Cocoa debacle for my nephew was one of the best players on that very talented team. PK should have beaten Atlantic, Vero, and GC that year with so much talent and size but the atmosphere was very toxic.

PK won the last matchup with Hawthorne. That was the year we lost late to MC and they beat Blounstown for the championship

Were the penalties unsportsmanlike conduct fouls?

Don’t know what happened, the kids were breaking the huddle. They weren’t close enough to say anything to the other team. Just was a personal foul

2018 Hawthorne beat Pahokee in Hawthorne then lost to Madison.  2019 Pahokee beat Hawthorne in Pahokee. That 2019 game should have been played in Hawthorne but FHSAA wouldn't do anything about the unreported game that affected the seeding.  2020 Hawthorne beat Madison, Pahokee didn't play in the playoffs.

Seeding will determine who plays who first. Also I believe this year seeding will determine the state semi-final round.  We could get some different matchups in the state championship game.

They made some seeding changes that will affect the semifinals and finals matchups

Jesse, I cheer for both muck schools because I am from the muck but moved to Orlando and the majority of my family still lives in South Bay. However, for the academics my nephews and cousins attends Pahokee. So, in the muck bowl, I am a Blue Devil!

561, You are right, the 2019 season was a crazy year! Pahokee with the hardest schedule in the state was the last team standing from Palm Beach County!

GC fan, that year that saved Jet job! It was truly the battle of the Forest Gump coaching staffs, lol!

GC has one of the hardest schedules this season.

The fouls would have had to be unsportsmanlike conduct penalties if they were non-contact.

    • Can't count on FHSAA to do what's right or makes sense so we have to look elsewhere.  I'm still learning about SSAA and I still have questions concerning their bylaws. It's a growing league and I think it will soon surpass FHSAA in membership.
    • Agree. Everything could be avoided if they did what i said. Consolidate classes down to 4, and force teams who have a set number of transfers participate in an open division. Come up with a number. 5 transfers per year. Whatever number seems right. That way the all star transfer factories can duke it out for one title, and the other 4 playoff brackets will at least be a respectable.    If they create the open division with 7-8 classes next year, every bracket is gonna be beyond embarrassing and make Florida the mockery of the country. You will have glorified 2nd round losers being called state champions
    • I hope it grows too. To about 500 members! Some of the SSAA teams were or would be playoff teams in FHSAA.  You are correct, they have zero chance of winning a championship in FHSAA.  Some are figured that out. About 400 or so need to come to the same conclusion.
    • Most Manatee die hards, consider the 1993 title game against Southridge, a nightmare game where anything that could go wrong did in fact do that. I want to say Southridge had 2 kickoff returns for TDs, 1 Punt return for a TD, at least 1 (possibly 2 INTs returned for a TD), I believe there was also a hail Mary at half for a TD. The 1984 19-14 playoff loss to Lakeland, probably burns in die hards guts than the 1993 contest. Manatee was a heavy favorite going into that game, but 2 turnovers inside the Lakeland 10 proved ultimately to be Manatees undoing and denied Manatee any chance at back to back titles
    • I think they are small schools.    Marathon - about 700 (grades 6-12) Coral Shores - under 800 Key West - about 1,300
