Columbia and if so better be ready 4 St. Thomas.

im aware of that, i expect STA to advance over braden river, right now our focus is on viera and we will worry about state title game once we make it past viera, we havent look ahead all season, certainly cant start overlooking people now

I expect Columbia to have no problem with Viera. Lakeland was in early-season form Friday night with turnovers, penalties, and mistakes. They also flat out fell down many times when making open field cuts on Viera's field. The offense was as conservative as I have seen all season. Not really sure what went in to that gameplan, but it definitely did not work.

If STA's offensive line can hang with Braden River's D-Line, they should win. BR's runs a very aggressive defense. Plant City ate them up on their first drive, but couldn't do much after that. If STA can take advantage of their aggressiveness they can find lots of open areas in the secondary.

it was a hard loss, but i bet if i came and said before the season that columbia would finish as a final 4 team most here would have laughed at it, we made strides by advancing this far and despite having a lot of people to replace we have a lot of young talent coming up and we should be a very young but dangous team next year, we will take the experiences we learned from this year and channel it into progress for next season, columbia will be back, you can count on that, we wont be going away anytime soon, but total respect out to viera on the win, i didnt see it coming but you all showed that you all wanted it and deserved to be going to state next week, but i will say right now, columbia will be back next year and will compete again after we take the 20+ seniors we losing and RELOAD for next year, you all can take a picture of this and look back next year, good luck to all who made it to orlando

Well said columbiahighfan.  You said over the summer that you had special feeling about this team and a special team is what Columbia was in 2015.  They were the team that many thought would eventually fade but they did the opposite.  They  unfortunately ran into a team tonight in Viera that appears to be peaking at the right time and were the better team tonight.  I know what you are going through.... your heart sinks and you get kicked below the belt at the same time.....You are a great fan and supporter of Columbia football and many of us (including myself) learned a lot about the Columbia team, and it's winning tradition through the years.  Like you said, Columbia will be back!  Please keep us posted on your thoughts and opinions of the matchups next week.

@cloumbia well said bro and real talk I respect you bro you alright with me and taught me a little about your school as well when I first came on this sight I only cared about promoting my school while hoping they backed it up in the process lol. But in all seriousness your cool people and we were in the same city wouldn't mind linking up with you. I know how you feel I felt the same way about my panthers in the first round hopefully soon they can get a compotent coaching staff together and bring back the old "dillard tradition" and there winning ways. im excited to next year and following your team we may be all scatterd around florida but we are all FOOTBALL BROTHERS straight up.!

Classy comment, bro. I remember seeing Dillard in 2000 and 2001. You were good back then. I am a little familiar with the Dillard zone and like Evans in Orlando, you should be doing a lot better. If the alumni and administration recognize what the problem is and do something to fix it, Dillard will be back. At Evans the administration does not care for football. I don't think that is the case at Dillard.

The Evans kids that have not gone elsewhere, have channeled their efforts into basketball and since Coach Jean took over four years ago, soccer. Even with Jean's departure for France this year, they have continued their soccer strength and are undefeated this year, after taking West Orange to penalty kicks in the playoffs last year. West Orange eventually lost the state title game on penalty kicks to Cypress Bay. The current head soccer coach has managed to secure the outside help of a former MLS soccer player as a technical resource. I am excited for these kids as it may mark the first time an "inner city" Orlando school makes a deep run in this sport. If they can get by: Lake Mary, Winter Park and Cypress Creek in the regional phase of the playoffs, I think they could even go all the way. The talent is certainly there with this mostly: Haitian/Jamaican/Mexican team. If some of the American kids there take to the game after seeing the recent success they have a chance to be very, very good for a long, long time.

A lot of Broken Dreams along the path to success, you must continue to practice as hard next year to build off the strength and heart of those before you. Columbia made a believer out of me this year. I was rooting for them the whole season and still think they are a top 10 Florida program. Cocoa play Viera early in the season when Cocoa was already playing hard and Viera was still trying to figure out who they are, Cocoa just won that game in the last quarter but Viera never gave up the fight. They are a good team with a deadly QB / WR core and 2 very good defensive Corners.

I know your pain, I went through it last week at the hands of Booker T.

Any team that made it to the regional final has a winner. Figure it out and get ready for next season. There will be a new title to win  and glory to the victors.
