Wow what a game!! What a game!! Ft Meyers came in and punched Dillard square in the mouth hitting us left & right with the Wing T something Dillard has not seen all year long they ran it out of so many diff formations & sets you could tell their very well coaches & disciplined. It was 21-7 fort Myers after the first Quarter with some major adjustments needed to be made for Dillard to keep their season alive. for the rest of the game Dillard held ft Myers high scoring offense scoreless their only score came on defense when Dillard was driving at their 10 yard line only for us to throw a pick 6 to make it 28-28 at half instead of 35-21 or at worst if we didn’t convert 28-21. in the second half both defense were solid but Dillard dropped a ton of open passes on bombs that should have been caught. In the 4th qt Dillard took the lead for good on a running td to go up 35-28 on the green waves next drive they threw a interception deep on our own end ..we kneeled in victory formation but coincidentally ft Myers had all 3 time outs when they called 2 earlier in the Qt. On 4th down at our own 4 Dillard took a intentional safety to get better kicking position which put ft Myers at the 30 mark on their next drive Dillard held them to 4 consecutive incompletions to move to (12-0!!!) for the first time since 2000!! And moved to the third round for the FIRST time since 2001!! And next week our fans our county get what we have wanted ALL YEAR A REMATCH at a chance for revenge against the rockets!! im so dam proud of this team the coaching staff my voice is half gone ...the resiliency if this team is AMAZING to get hit in the mouth like we did tonight against a type of offense we haven’t seen at all this year and we made adjustments and preserved... REGARDLESS of what happen the rest of the way this year has been special being doubted all year being ranked behind teams who is home right now and to be 1 win a way from our FIRST state semi appearance since 01 is just awesome yo!! @Wavebb even tho we didn’t get a chance to meet up get home safe man and you guys came to play your coaching staff is legit you guys have a great team. The Columbia team I saw play last night was very offensive.

Vero Beach vs Deerfield Beach Some like to joke about Deerfield Beach choking in the early rounds of the playoffs. It might surprise some to know that DB does one thing exceptionally well...win in region title games. Since 1993, the Bucks are 8-0 in such games, 3 of those on the road. Vero and DB have met 4 times in the playoffs, splitting the series. DB won the last two. The last time DB came to the Citrus Bowl was back in 1981. Since 2003, Vero Beach is 0-14 versus district champions in the playoffs. This is the second time in the past 20 years they will play in a region title game at home. The last team they beat to win a region title...Columbia in 1998. A fun fact...since 1990, Vero is 0-6 in the playoffs versus teams that begin with the letter "D" ( 2 vs Deerfield, 2 vs Dillard, and 2 vs Dr P). Can they break the streak?

Going to find out how good Apopka's secondary is. This should be a really good game. Apopka's offense has come to life in the playoffs. Of the 4 teams left in the North Seminole probably has the most talent and would host every game so they have to be the favorite. With that said Seminole is not a juggernaut. I could see any of these 4 teams representing the North.

It's not been announced. I've heard both would be back. Lampkin was said to be back for Tech, but wasn't. No word on Glinton. Some of the field shots from the webcast showed a couple big guys on crutches or that newish unicycle thingy. My hunch is, if they were going to be able to be back, they would've at least dressed last night. Neither did. I'm certainly not saying there is any obligation for anyone to disclose the nature or severity of the injuries. But, without those guys, Lakeland doesn't pose a substantial threat to STA and probably won't beat Armwood. Lampkin is their best OL and Glinton is their best DL, both are among the top couple of strongest players on the team, and both see spot duty on the other side of the ball. On a side note, the team also lost three other players (a Victory transfer, the 6th man of last year's OL, and a big kid from Virginia) prior to the season who figured to be in the two-deep in the trenches. So, at the moment, they are down 5 lineman from the early August two-deep. Last night, what had been projected to be an immensely deep OL and DL, was a team lacking in depth. TBT is big up front on the OL, has a big RB and goes no-huddle. NOT the team the L wanted to see with so many lineman missing. But, if they get Lampkin and Glinton back, IMO they can still win 7A.

Pine Forest is 13-0 at home in the playoffs over the past 40 years versus teams from Tally or east Niceville is 20-10 historically

Escambia is 9-1 at home in the playoffs versus teams from Tally or eastward.

This lee team is horrible on offense, so if escambia can score it should be a 14 to 21 point win.

I don't understand Lee is a good team why would escambia have to do anything other than win in the regional finals to maintain or even improve their ranking?

Interesting that Vero and Deerfield bucked their second round trend and will meet in the third round. Plantation loses again. This is the fourth time this decade STA has knocked out Plantation in the second round, so it is hard to fault the Colonels. Columbia now has more second round losses than any team in the state.

Western hasn't played a super tough schedule, so maybe that's why they were considered such underdogs against a powerful Palmetto attack. But Western's O is legit and the defense is tough. The scored 43 on SD's stingy defense, scored 72+ pts twice and have 6 shutouts - all of them, running clocks. their two loses were to STA (Legit) and a tough 1 possession loss to a solid University squad (a team that clocked Columbus earlier this season). They are a solid team, and Columbus will have to play WAAAAY better defensively - and much more disciplined - than they did last night to have a shot.

Vero against Treasure Coast, Vero won regular season game by a point in OT and they always battle, Treasure Coast also runs the Single Wing which isn’t seen a lot in today’s spread happy style most teams run.
