Stop crying and beat em'!!!

That 6-6 Lakewood team that stopped your season in your tracks, has lost their best players to CCC for years now. CCC would've beaten Lakewood 42-14 at least judging by common opponents.

CCC boat raced everybody on their schedule Except St Frances, Venice, and Cardinal Newman. St. Frances may be the best team in the nation right now, they beat IMG 30-3 lol

CCC has now lost a combined 146-21 to Chaminade in the past 3 state Title Games and it doesn't appear its slowing down.

CCC is not some lightweight team that has had an easy bracket...there's 1A Football then there's the Super Team Chaminade.

99% of the Teams in Florida have no chance of ever beating current Chaminade. No matter how many kids they bring in, it will never be enough. It destroyed small school football

More data to encourage an "OPEN DIVISION" for these 1% of elite teams.

I'm honestly open to an English Premiership type system of Promotion/Relegation.

Divide the classes evenly, and top 10% Advance/Bottom 10% Drop or something along those lines.

The CCC-Berkeley game was 21-14 at the end of the 3rd quarter and CCC added a TD in the 4th quarter to make it a 28-14 final.   I'm not sure I would consider that getting 'boat raced.'

That said, it is pretty surprising how many kids from the Lakewood area turn out the be Catholic and end up at CCC.  B)

67, 40, 40, 56, 63, 70, 43, 29, 35.  The margin of victory in Chaminade's playoff games in the last two years.  While I applaud their success, anyone who thinks this is good for high school football in Florida is missing the bigger picture.

The Open 8 is supposed to be instituted in the 2026 playoffs.  The first-round matchups this year would have been: Nease vs. Cardinal Newman; Venice vs. Jones; Gadsden County vs. Chaminade-Madonna; West Boca Raton vs. American Heritage-Plantation.   it will be interesting to see if the Open 8 actually is enacted, or if the big powerhouses will find a way to squash it.

Why is no one discussing the five turnovers that CCC had, and the six times that CCC had the ball in Chaminade Madonna territory and only came away with one score? CCC had plenty of chances to make that game competitive, and didn't take advantage.

I agree if Newton plays that game it's closer...but that doesn't change the fact that they've proven nobody in 1A can compete with them. That was the best team CCC has ever had, it's never getting better then that lol

The way CCC was playing Newton would have made the 4th quarter competitive.  Of course, if CCC would have still committed the 5 turnovers it wouldn’t have.

You should also consider how emotionally engaged Chaminade was due to playing CCC without Newton.

My comments are not to disparage CCC QB Barrett.  He should be a good one with more experience.

I know a way to make it fair for everyone.

We have 550 classes with 1 team per class. Special Teams plays the defense in the semi finals. Offense gets a bye. If the offenses are too good, we just cancel football altogether. Each team is shipped a trophy on the first day of school letting them know they are champions for showing up.

But then we cancel that for the kids who missed out on the first day.

This is the first post you have ever made that I agree with. Hell will likely freeze over tonight.

DarterBlue2, if you looked deep down in your soul, you would realize that you agree with every post that I have ever made!

CCC compering with them last night. CCC just couldn't compete with all of those turnovers.

I was at the Chaminade game. CCC’s defense was excellent. The young man they had playing QB just wasn’t a QB. He was a tough competitor but made many mistakes. It wouldve been a different game if he played. Chaminade didn’t respect the pass but wouldve had to if the starter played. Actually Chaminade didn’t exhale till late 3qtr when the Marauder defense was exhausted. The final score was deceiving.
