All ways been the closer schools to bring cowards. Lake Brantley, Boone, Apopka, Dr. Phillips and Seminole out of the Orlando area. I'm surprised 7A wasn't bigger with Plant being from Tampa not that far away either. Miami schools always bring crowds and Pahokee brought a lot for a small school shoot damn near whole city of Pahokee showed up.

Texas pays out of state teams pretty well to travel, where most Florida schools can not afford to pay Texas teams to come here and play unless it is a team like IMG or one of the better privates.

Texas Football is about the money as well as the program. They know to have a good program, it comes with a price tag, and losing money on a game isn't in their best interest.

The vast majority of Texas teams have no incentive to come to Florida. They make thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars on their home games. Why should they give that up to come play a Florida team? Even if they come to play Aquinas, IMG, Jax TCA, etc.

Cali on the other hand -- well that's just cause the amount of distance between the two locations really. There are some smaller CA teams that are starting to look at a trip to Florida. Smaller schools but they do have pretty sizable athletic budgets/really good booster clubs.

Thanks for doing this..was going to post it...so yes attendance up slightly which is better than nothing.

I think I would say look for the FHSAA to possibly start having an all-day ticket next year. They have been doing this in other sports and now the FHSAA having the football finals finally in all one-weekend will likely allow for this to happen. The only reason they couldn't do it this year was the contract changes that had to be made thanks to the moves made by the ACC.

I was there and i dont think that is correct, Baker had at least 1200 to 1500 fans.

Tigerfan1 are you serious? Are were you high on pain medication when you were at this game? Baker (may have) had 200 people there. But I can understand that, that was a 400 mile trek for them. Just make sure Trenton is ready next year.

    • Consequently, Lake Minneola has just announced it has cancelled spring football.  What goes around comes around.
    • And lastly with the district classifications changing. Dillard new district foes atleast for the next two years are as following    *Northeast *Suncoast  *Boynton Beach  *Dr.Joaquin Garcia    never heard of that last school, I’m assuming they’re a new program.    but a district with no STA, GIBBONS, AHP, CHAMINADE, ELY, MIRAMAR, & ETC lets see if Dillard is still a above avg program & can run away with this district and be one of the top teams in broward.    or if they fell off even more from last year & this district will be a lot closer then most predict. Guess we will see.
    • They also just won the 7on7 broward county showcase a few weeks back. So hopefully that spills over to the fall season.    I know we got a new DC & OC this year & the quarter back spot is up for grabs. Especially after last years below avg offensive production. So we will see how things are shaping up against a very solid monarch squad in the spring game May 23rd @ Dillard.
    • They bring almost 80% of the roster which was 9th & 10th graders. They got a few transfers in but nothing crazy. Atleast not yet.    from my sources it looks as if the the second year head coach for Dillard is trying to rack up some wins under his belt & not scheduling above the talent he actually has which will either A. Get him fired after this season or see more kids transfer out or both.    if Dillard can go 8-2 or dare I say undefeated & have a deep playoff round (regional finals) that could One really put the program in a bright light for transfers & also instill a winning culture back in the storied program.
    • They were a Lake County all star team because they were taking all of the Lake County players.  First Academy hired the Lake Minneola recruiter and he took a bunch of the players with him to First Academy.  Now Lake Minneola has a depleted roster with a tough schedule.  The coach wasn't aware of this until he arrived and saw the roster.
