Well...I guess since "Nobody" else will post the score like they "normally" do. I will...28-0 Central. We got a "CODE BLUE!"

Seminole started fast and moved the ball downfield easily on its first possession. Then a forced fumble at around the Apopka 15 was taken back 69 yards to the Seminole 16. Two encroachments by Seminole and Apopka was first and goal at the 6. One play later it was Apopka 7-0. For the rest of the first half, Seminole had most of the possession. But interestingly it was Apopka that came closest to scoring again inside the final minute of the second quarter when Williams seemed to have the ball in the end zone, but after he rolled over on the diving catch, the ball ended on the turf. Apopka coughed up the ball on its next play and Seminole took a knee to end the half. Apopka took the Seminole kickoff down to the Seminole 26 to begin the second half and proceeded to score on the short field from there. Apopka's defense stiffened in the second half and (was it late in the third or at the beginning of the fourth, I don't remember?) stopped Seminole at its own 41 on fourth down. On the first play from there, the ball was inside the Seminole 25 and a few plays later it was Apopka 20 Seminole 0. To me this was probably Apopka's best game of the year as they were up against a very, very good QB and an athletic team that was every inch as good as APK in that regard. After Seminole had the better of the first half from a yards and time perspective, Apopka's defense stiffened in the second half and held them in check. If Apopka can maintain this level of play for two more games, they have a real shot at the 8A title. Notable was the fact that Apopka cut down on the penalties in this game. Also notable was the fact that Seminole actually was able to run the ball with some success against Apopka. This is the first team to do so since Jones did for one quarter.

I feel now is the time to address the elephant in the room. Congrats to Dillard for a nice season. For an entire week I sat back and read all of the comments on both posts, although I was itching to speak, I humbled myself for the right time to strike. That's what a real scavenger does. There was plenty of trash talk from Dillard, from posting memes with their name on Central's building to placing an image with a for sale sign of Central's campus. Now that's all fine because it's honest trash talk between fans. As I walked to purchase my ticket Dillard fans were heckling me, standing in front jumping and pointing. I just laughed. Now as far as the game is concerned Dillard did not have a chance from the very beginning. Believe that! The game very well could have be 21-0 at halftime but a poor play call and a holding penalty. I only counted 4 turnovers and several penalties by Dillard. Dillard wasn't ready for that buzzsaw from 95th street. Folks talking about Central hasn't won state since 2015, but this is the furthest Dillard has been in 19 years. In fact last time they won state was 1989. So last time I checked Central's success is more recent. Too much trash talk and not enough production on the field. Humble yourselves or humbled.

Yes turnovers made it easier but if y’all didn’t have made turnovers y’all still wouldn’t have scored... I tell u this if they didn’t move Da West and Carol City our the district, y’all don’t make it out the first round.. I hope next year y’all beef up y’all schedule...BTW Dade county went 4-0 with the sweep...

Well it looks like Baker pulls the same stunt on Vernon it pulled on PSJ last yr no rain in days but the field was knee deep in water.

Armwood does not have the offense to compete with St Thomas. If they get by Edgewater with their defense, they'll get shutout in the final again.

Armwood played an easy schedule, too, so we all got to see two fat and out-of-shape teams play last night at Armwood.

Agreed about the defense and the field. The field looked like a herd of cattle had been grazing there for a week straight. I was very surprised by that. As for the defense, Armwood wasn't giving the Naughts anything. Their D is certainly legit. The offense play calling on the Armwood side though? I was scratching my head on quite a few occasions. They passed the ball way too much when they should have been running the ball IMO. It was almost as if they wanted Lakeland to get back in the game instead of stepping on their throats.

with average backs, I'd understand it. But, Bowman (and to a lesser extent Kellum) is a threat to score any time. He doesn't need much of a hole.

Are you really gonna brag about beating up the little 1A schools everybody knows how Madison County gets around the number of kids in the school.

Central has 3 loses this year in blow out fashion and granted they didn't look good but it was to 3 good teams. St. Frances #2 in the nation, Northwestern in semi finals, Chaminade in semi finals. So sometimes it takes getting hit in the mouth a few times to get it. Kinda like mama or daddy going up side our heads for us to get right. There has been turmoil within the locker room and I'm hoping the ship has got corrected. At the right time.

why did Lakeland just abandon the running game? Bowman barely touched the ball? This game did not make any sense. Lakeland's defense play pretty tough but gave up a few big plays. Normally Lakeland would be right in this game but they gave up on the run? It was baffling?

If we don't fumble on the one yard line game is a blowout. If the refs called at least one intentional ground or more holding against AHP score would've been worse. Point is that's football. We did just enough to win in spite of everything. By the way our qb only in the 9th grade and team is very young. At this point no other choice than to do it again next year.

Yessir & that team was central; but in no game this year or last did we have 7 turnovers & 173 yards in penalties in any game which sucks because in the regular season ATLEAST u have another week but this happen in a game where it was win or go home. I was also frustrated with our offensive coaching it’s clear the running wasn’t working why not scheme up something else ? Then our Qb Jones he threw ATLEAST 9 interceptions this postseason combined after his second tonight the coaches in my opinion should have switched somethings up see what you have in your back up Qb for a possession or two throw something new at the defense & see what you have. but instead they kept em in and more interceptions & under & over throws followed. This the playoffs this not about seniors & all that we’re tryna advance but hey congrats to all the dade teams & go win it all.

Yeah I said qb was suspect. Turnovers apart of the game. Dillard put up points on alot of teams they played this year. But seems as if when the lights were the brightest and on the big stage they folded. I kno this one if tough but somebody had to win and lose.

I requested a refund right after the game. NOT as a sore loser, but as someone who knows when he's been ripped off. The camera operator literally could not keep the play within the frame...ever. That's when the feed wasn't cutting out completely.

With Lakeland selling their 1000 tickets, plus the ones out of Armwood's allotment they bought from GoFan, the Lakeland side will be ridiculously packed. Those stands may hold 500-600. Then add in the band.......I'm thinking I may wear neutral clothing and sit on the Armwood side.
