Who the hell is hawthorn lol

Don't laugh fam, Cornelius Ingram is slowly making his alma mater a champion. They were not expected to beat Ft Meade last week, but did.

Ingram won a state title in girls hoops last year, his brother Greg also won a state title in boys hoops last year.

Tiny Hawthorne always has skill talent, but small roster numbers and even smaller kids. It's rare they have OL over 250lbs, this year he has 6.

Not only did they lose, but to a school with only like 200 kids while Madison plays with 800. That was like David beating Goliath. Congrats to Hawthorne.

Slightly more than 200 for Hawthorne; a little over 700 for Madison County.

Lets Take a Moment To Remember an Amazing man

Jesse

Jesse passed away December 4th at 6405 SE 210 Terrace, Hawthorne, FL 32640 at the young age of 28 months due to a tragic hornet sting causing a severe reaction which later developed into motor aphasia. His funeral service will be held at 403 Stadium Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32304 12/17 @ 7p followed by an internment at 2649 US-90, Madison, FL 32340.

Jesse was born not too long ago on May 24, 2019 amongst this forum. He gained a reputation from all of us being the "Madison Boy" and had a successful career in instigating and generating traction with his posts and reply's. One of his most memorable moments in the community was his quip on "Donut high school", next to all of the times he said that Madison was on it's way to becoming a national powerhouse and blowing out IMG. He will be missed deeply by his friends, family, and all who knew him. May his content count rest peacefully at 523.

    • Bayside went up to play Lowndes and lost 50-0 and 69-0 in back to back years for $25,000 total. I think that’s why so many garbage FL teams play good GA teams.
    • And did he “beg”? Or did he simply ask one sentence and see if anyone can help with fundraising? Every single team we have been apart of from 4 years old to high school has fund raised. I don’t remember begging anyone for money. But I guess I’m not a millionaire who coaches a transfer factory. Lol.
    • ALL programs in the state of Florida would love to have more money, and really need more. Teddy happens to have enough name recognition and reach- including wealthy current and former NFL players- that he may well succeed in getting money. Whether he succeeds or not, he's calling attention to the problem. (Of course, if the number of schools investing in football programs was sharply reduced, and all of the money which has been spread thin among poor programs was consolidated towards a smaller number of super programs, those super programs would be financed much more effectively.)
    • Could be for kids out of the zone who attend the school who are in a family situation that makes it extremely difficulty to attend practices, school, games etc all the time. Could be a single parent who works 2 jobs who has a kid transfer to MNW in hopes that the exposure could earn him a scholarship. We have no idea unless it’s explained. Ubers are expensive as hell. More than taxis used to be. My son’s school is 8 miles from our house. He needed a ride one day for football practice so we looked up Uber and they wanted $40!!
    • I don't know why this state is so far behind every other state football powers regarding coaching salaries and financial support?  More evidence is Teddy having to use $14k of his own money last year.  On a side note, isn't paying for uber rides an impermissible benefit?  I mean if you didn't recruit kids out of your area, they wouldn't need those rides anyway Teddy...  but I digress.  https://www.the-sun.com/sport/14663753/teddy-bridgewater-miami-northwestern-donations/#:~:text=The free agent quarterback Bridgewater,team%2C the Miami Northwestern Bulls.&text=Bridgewater made a long plea,by the school through donations.
